Although the plot for season 3 of House of Cards is heavily guarded by the creators and cast of the show, there are some interesting possibilities in the storyline that need to be reckoned with. For instance, the fact that in the original BBC series, Frank was killed off by Claire in the third season.

Who Is Most Likely To Die In Season 3 Of House of Cards?

It seems unlikely that Netflix would want to go the same route and kill the show after only three seasons. Either the storyline will be rewritten to have Frank survive. But the alternative of making things more challenging and shocking for fans would be to get him killed at the hands of Claire, and have her vie for power the way he did, in a Lady Macbeth-ian pursuit.

That would dramatically alter the face of the series, but could also make a bigger statement with a female-oriented plot.

The Underwoods Inspired By The Roosevelts And Clintons?

The most recent talk surrounding the storyline had to do with the show's engagement with foreign affairs, particularly Russia, which has been a thorny issue for the US of late. It is known the Pussy Riot, the feminist punk group that was persecuted in Russia on grounds of profanity and their anti-establishment protest, will be guest starring season 3, playing themselves.

The show is directed by Beau Willimon and stars Spacey and Robin Wright, who portrays Claire Underwood on the show.

The third season of House of Cards will film in Maryland, where the first and second seasons were also shot. Initially, the continuation of filming of the third season of the Netflix series was fraught with troubles over the past few weeks as the producers weren't getting permission from the State of Maryland. But the issue was finally resolved on April 25.
