The preview for the upcoming episode of The Good Wife, which was recently revealed, shows Alicia (Julianna Margulies) thrown head long into campaigning and all the trouble it brings with it.

Kalinda To Be Killed Off Like Will In Season 6 Of The Good Wife?

In the clip Alicia is surrounded by all assisting with her campaign, and things are getting pretty intense for her. She has been assigned a "body woman," Eli's (Alan Cumming) daughter Marissa (Sarah Steele), who tells her she will stick to her and making sure she's no time and that her food is unpoisoned.

The exercise is to make her a "believable candidate." In the promo a political consultant is seen discussing the subject of God with her. The tag line also reveals that the process will "test her faith." Religion and faith in God are always a sticky topic in political campaigns, and Alicia is an unapologetic atheist. She discussed the issue with her kids in an earlier season, and in this chapter she also shared her views on religiosity with Dean Wilkins (Taye Diggs) in an episode titled Dear God.

Diane To Move Florrick-Agos To The Lockhart-Gardner Office Space?

In other recent news related to the CBS series, it was revealed that Archie Panjabi, who plays Kalinda Sharma, will not be returning for the next season of the show.

The Hollywood Reporter broke this bit of news on October 15. Panjabi's contract with the CBS legal drama expires at the end of this season and it was revealed that she had no intention of renewing it, as she had made other commitments. More specifically, starring in a new Fox drama, the pilot for which should air next spring. Panjabi's move might also have been spurred by the fact that her character arc was weakening as the seasons went along, in the last chapter she became less significant to the plot of the show.

The next episode of The Good Wife will air on October 19 on CBS.
