Until very recently it had only been rumored that Fox might be returning for Transformers 5, but Hallels definitively stated that she would be coming on board. In fact the report states that Fox's co-lead in the first Transformers movie, Shia LaBeouf will also be joining her.

Earlier this year, rumors of Fox coming back on board had started doing the rounds.

Michael Bay Passing The Baton To New Director For Transformers 5

On September 1, MoviePilot reported that while Fox has expressed interest in returning, she might be in a bit of bind because of her commitment to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Recently, Fox who had been very critical of Bay right after the first phase of the Transformers franchise that she had starred in, buried the hatchet and said she would love to work with the director again. It seems like the two are best pals again and he was instrumental in getting her a part in the reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Speaking to E!News in an interview dated August 4, the actress revealed that she would be interested in coming back on board if she was asked.

"If [Bay] ever wanted me to do a cameo like assembling an autobot motorcycle in a bike shop or something like that, I would totally do it," Fox said.
