Country singer Blake Shelton will be attending the CMA Awards this year with wife and fellow artist Miranda Lambert, and while the Neon Light singer will be taking the stage to perform his own music, the number he's probably looking forward to most will be his wife's duet with All About That Bass singer Meghan Trainor.

It's uncertain which song the unlikely pair will perform, but People did confirm on Monday that Lambert and Trainor have something in the works.

Shelton is no stranger to Trainor's music, having admitted to People during an interview in September that he's fond of her hit single All About That Bass.

"That's a fun one," declared Shelton before trying to sing a few bars. "I literally can't relate to it lyrically, but it's just crazy fun."

Of course Shelton is also a big fan of his wife's music, and so the pairing could be a pretty special combination.

Lambert's most recent duet was Somethin' Bad off her latest album Platinum, which was released back in June. Accompanying Lambert for the artist was friend and fellow country singer Carrie Underwood, who also happens to be hosting the CMA Awards this fall with Brad Paisley for the seventh year in a row.

The 48th Annual CMA Awards will air live on ABC Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
