Nina (Michelle Stafford) has become increasingly more upset and unraveled over time, and in an attempt to keep herself from being a target of her daughter's revenge plots, Madeline (Donna Mills) will go to new extremes on General Hospital.

Nine was shocked to see her mother out of prison and nearly attacked and killed her in a fit of rage-but after Madeline apologized to her, Nina realized she could use her mother to her advantage-and demanded she work some magic and get Ava Jerome's (Maura West) baby-so Nina could raise the child instead.

"I need you to fix this for me," Nina tells her mother in a preview clip for the Tuesday, October 21 episode.

As a result, and in a desperate attempt to put her own life back together after Nina effectively destroyed her, Madeline will be forced to try and call in some favors-and attempt to track Ava down, making her the second person actively searching for the mobster in hiding.

And though Nina and Madeline don't know where she is, Nina's husband, Silas (Michael Easton)-who had an affair with Ava 20 years ago-does, after their daughter, Kiki (Kristen Aldersen), enlisted his help when Ava believed she was going into premature labor.

After he helps Ava though, he will admit to her everything he has recently learned about his psychotic wife, and may reveal his plans to get her out of his life-something Ava will call him out on.

"For a smart man, you really are such an idiot," she says.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
