The rapper made an appearance on Larry King in a clip posted on Tuesday. He was asked what he thought about Symone on Oprah: Where Are They Now? where she explained how she does not like to call herself 'African-American,' but 'American' instead. T.I. seemed to agree with this because everyone has their differences.

"I think she has an incredible point," the rapper said. "We are all American and I mean, to separate us, I think we need to find more reasons to unify rather than to divide each other and separate from one another. Everybody isn't meant to be the same, the same race, the same religion, the same ideologies of life. We have to accept and respect another's differences."

T.I. still considers himself as an African-American, but as an American as well.

"Words to me don't have much power unless you give them power. African-American to me is what I was taught to call myself," he explained. "I consider myself African-American, black and American. I think all categories that we place ourselves in where we see comfort in words."
