Rumors have circulated around former couple Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak with speculation that there might be some romance between them, which one of them clarified.

Mindy Kaling & B.J. Novak Spotted Driving Off Together?

On Monday, E! News posted an interview with Kaling who was asked about a report that she and Novak were spotted having dinner together. This shouldn't be too surprising since the two work together on The Mindy Project- Kaling is the star of the series while Novak is an executive producer- and since the two are friends, it wouldn't seem like a big deal if they were seen in the same place. But since the it was a dinner between an ex-couple, that probably caused some interest.

When Kaling responded to this situation, she made it pretty clear that she and Novak are just friends although there is something about their friendship that she especially enjoys.

"I'm so boring that I see him at least once a week just to hang out, and now it has, like, a patina of coolness to it, which I love," Kaling revealed. "We went to dinner before we saw Gone Girl, so I love that very boring errand-slash-meal was considered sexy."

The actress was then asked if there were any romance news to report, which Kaling said there wasn't.

In an interview with People, Novak revealed that his ex-girlfriend is a "complicated person" and they have a "complicated friendship," but he wouldn't trade it "for anything in the world."
