Creator John Logan has promised a larger scope for Penny Dreadful's second season on Showtime and producer Christopher King proved that on Monday when he revealed that Episode 2 will be entering into some uncharted territory.

'It's Another Bloody Monday' On The Set Of 'Penny Dreadful' For Season 2

While Season 1 took place primarily in urban London, the Victorian supernatural drama will head out into the forest during Season 2 for some potentially unsettling new scenes.

'Penny Dreadful' Gets More 'Disturbing' Monsters & Extensive Stunt Work

Now that director James Hawes has wrapped production for the season premiere, this nature scene was likely helmed by Damon Thomas, who informed fans on Twitter earlier this month that he'd be stepping in to direct a portion of the series soon.

So good to meet John Logan, @chriswking, @JamesEHawes and the #PennyDreadful crew. Thanks for the warm welcome. Cait wait to start. — Damon Thomas (@damonUK) October 15, 2014

The program's second season will further explore the dark side of Miss Vanessa Ives (Eva Green), as well as the "Master," which used Sir Malcolm's (Timothy Dalton) daughter to get to her in the first place. With new characters, monsters, and mortal enemies, Miss Ives will be facing even more terrifying struggles as the series continues.

Penny Dreadful returns to Showtime for its second season in 2015.
