Though she is still hospitalized on a 14-day hold at a mental health facility in L.A., Amanda Bynes is reportedly allowed to drive in the state once again, after her driver's license was reinstated following her September DUI.

Amanda Bynes' Secret Twitter Account Hacked?

According to Radar Online, Bynes' DUI case is still being investigated by the Los Angeles City Attorney's office, meaning there will be no court proceedings Oct. 23, as initially planned-and in the meantime, her criminal defense attorney was able to get her driving privileges reinstated.

However, despite the good news about her license being reinstated, Bynes isn't likely to have a chance to get behind the wheel again anytime soon, as her doctors are expected to request an extensive LPS conservatorship if Bynes refuses to voluntarily accept treatment and is ruled unable to care for herself. The request is expected to come in the next few days, as the 14-day hold placed on her is set to expire Oct. 27.

Amanda Bynes Put Back In Psychoatric Hold

If the extended one-year hold is put into place, Bynes and her current treating psychiatrist will have to appear in the Los Angeles Central District Mental Health Courthouse, The Daily Mail reports.

A source spoke to the publication saying that if the hold goes into place, it would be unfortunate for the former child star, but could be the thing she needs to get her life back on track.

"The psychiatric hold is unfortunate, but a good thing for Amanda, because if she is properly diagnosed and she is put on the right medications and undergoes therapy this will help," the source said. "It's not her fault, it really is a disease."

After previously being placed in a 5150 psychiatric hold last July, Bynes was reportedly diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorders, though her family and lawyer later denied the claims and blamed her previous breakdown on drug use.
