Rumors are swirling regarding the possible departure of Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman) and Danny Pink (Samuel Anderson) following the season 8 finale.

Clara is currently the Twelfth Doctor's (Peter Capaldi) main travel buddy, and the actress has refused to comment on her future employment with the BBC series, preferring to keep fans in suspense.

"The truth is ... I don't want to tell you the truth because I quite like these rumors," Coleman confessed to This Morning. "I think it's really interesting because, suddenly, people don't know what's going to happen in the series, people don't have any idea, so this speculation is quite good. People can now watch the show not knowing if I am or not, and that is quite exciting."

Anderson, however, recently gave a rather ominous interview with Doctor Who Magazine (via Doctor Who TV), claiming that his character will be "immortalized" in the season's two-part finale, "Dark Water" and "Death in Heaven."

"Eps 11 and 12 were such challenging ones for me...By the end of the season, Moffat has kind of immortalized Danny Pink," Anderson said. "Coming out the other end of Eps 10,11 and 12, and realizing, 'Wow, I've survived, I've made it, I've really pushed it,' kind of makes you want to go, 'One more year, c'mon!'
