Fans have already heard three songs from the album - Shake it Off, Out of the Woods and Welcome to New York - and none of them are angrily discussing an ex-boyfriend. Although Swift is known for spilling her heart on records even at the expense of an old love, the 24-year-old is taking a different approach with the new album.

Taylor Swift Explains Her New Song Out Of The Woods

"Different phases of your life have different levels of deep, traumatizing heartbreak," Swift told Rolling Stone when she covered the September issue. "And in this period of my life, my heart was not irreparably broken. So it's not as boycentric of an album, because my life hasn't been boycentric."

However, on the song Bad Blood, Swift sings about a friendship gone sour, which many assume is dedicated to fellow singer Katy Perry.

"I know people will make it this big girl-fight thing," she told the magazine. "But I just want people to know it's not about a guy. You don't want to shade someone you used to date and make it seem like you hate him, when that's not the case."

Swift's 1989 will be released on Oct. 27. Fans can pre-order the album on iTunes.
