On Wednesday, Mahone posted a picture to Instagram of him in the studio and said that he "may or may not" be dropping a new song "in the next couple days."

Fans know that the 18-year-old has been busy working in the studio despite being on his current South American tour. Mahone previously released his EP The Secret in May where it went straight to no. 1 on iTunes.

Mahone has been dropping hints about his new record, which will most likely be released in early 2015. "Right after the tour, I'm going back to Miami and I'm going to start working on [my album]," Mahone told J-14. "Now, I'm just working with a bunch of different people. I'm going out to LA for a couple weeks, to get a little something from everyone, and then we're just going to go from there."

"We have awesome songs lined up and a lot of good people I'm working with," he added to the Daily Tribune Music. "I'm probably going to stick with pop for the most part," Mahone said, "but I'll try some different styles, too. I'm gonna jump out to a little more EDM, maybe some R&B, different stuff like that."

Mahone will next perform in Leon, Mexico Oct. 29, Monterrey, Mexico on Oct. 31 and then go to Guatemala for a Nov. 2 date. After that the singer heads to Argentina, Chile and finally Peru.
