Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are one of Hollywood's most popular couples who tend to steer clear from the public eye and the actor revealed why that is.

Garfield made an appearance at the 2014 GQ Gentlemen's Ball in New York City on Wednesday night where E! News spoke to him about his relationship with his co-star from The Amazing Spider-Man. He was asked if he has an understanding on why the public would be so interested in what's going on in their relationship, which the actor gets, but he still wants to keep his privacy.

"I understand why people are interested in the personal lives of people who are in public more than those that aren't. I do understand that," Garfield revealed. "I have a deep understanding of that. Just for me, it's not something that I...I don't want it in my life, so I do everything I can to deflect it and say no to it because I think people forge that, 'Oh, this is my life, and this is your life, and that's your life.'"

The actor went on about how he occasionally has to take a big step and just say no when people ask him personal questions.

"Sometimes then you just have to disappoint people and say, 'Well, no. No thank you. Thank you for asking and thank you for your interest and no,'" he said.
