With Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn leading the cast for True Detective's second season on HBO, producers are still keeping quiet on other actors who have been cast to fill out the ensemble.

Matthew McConaughey Claims He 'Understood' What His 'True Detective' Character Was Saying

Taylor Kitsch (Wolverine, Lone Survivor) seemed like a a guarantee last month when his name was floated around alongside Farrell (Minority Report, Saving Mr. Banks) and Vaughn (Into The Wild, Wedding Crashers), but without confirmation it remains uncertain as to whether or not the rumors are true.

Kitsch himself was pretty vague when he spoke about the crime drama with Access Hollywood on Thursday.

Colin Farrell Admits He Hasn't Met 'True Detective' Co-Star Vince Vaughn Yet

The actor admitted that he's "rumored right now" to be involved and would certainly be interested if a role was offered. "It would be nice, wouldn't it? Yeah," added the actor. "So we'll know in a couple days."

Kitsch continued to say that he couldn't really talk about it at this time, suggesting that he is in fact at least under consideration for the time being. After all, he'd have no reason to hold back if he weren't in the running.

Regardless, the actor is a huge fan of HBO's breakout drama and looks forward to its return next year.

"I'm a mad fan for it," he declared. "[Creator] Nic Pizzolatto, the whole everything… I'm excited for season two, if I'm in it or not."

True Detective returns to HBO for a second season mid-2015.
