The Hollywood Reporter reported on Thursday that a number of female directors are being considered to take over the Wonder Woman movie that is planned for 2017. So far WB has tapped Zack Snyder for three movies and David Ayer for one of their superhero features.

The list for Wonder Woman includes: Kathryn Bigelow and Catherine Hardwicke with other rumored names such as Mimi Leder, Michelle MacLaren, Lexi Alexander and possibly Angelina Jolie.

Who Will Be In The Line-Up For 'Justice League Part 1?'

Bigelow is easily the biggest name on the list as the director has been in the Oscar game lately with Best Picture and Directing winner The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty being her last two films. It is unclear if she would consider joining the superhero game since she has been diving into more reality-based stories lately, but she has to be considered high.

Hardwicke is no stranger to big blockbuster pieces as she helmed the first Twilight movie with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. She has been in the independent field lately, but could be persuaded to give Wonder Woman a shot.

The name that sticks out though is Michelle MacLaren, who is best known for her TV work on Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, and Breaking Bad. MacLaren doesn't have film experience, but has shown that she is one of the top names working in television right now and could use the Gal Gadot-led picture as her big break.

Wonder Woman is expected out on June 23, 2017.
