It hasn't been the best performer among new shows this fall, but FOX's Red Band Society is managing a well-enough performance for the network to decide they will explore the cast of characters a bit more with additional episodes.

Charlie's Life At Risk?

The network made a surprising decision to order four more scripts for the Wednesday night teen hospital drama earlier this week, after it struggled in overnight ratings, but managed to boost its ratings by 70-80 percent through DVR views.

And while the additional episode order is potentially good news for fans of the series, it's also good news for them because they won't be left without a resolution to one of the show's biggest storylines-the budding love triangle between the eating disorder afflicted Emma (Ciara Bravo) and her two cancer-stricken suitors-Leo (Charlie Rowe) and Jordi (Nolan Sotillo).

Emma Tested By A Bombshell About Jordi

Braco spoke to Zap2it about the storyline, and while she wouldn't reveal who Emma may choose, she did compare the two guys-and admitted there were ups and downs with both of them.

"Let's think about this," she said. "Leo has a certain allure. He's very outgoing, popular kid, all-American dream, athletic, charismatic. Then we've got Jordi, who is kind of like the mystery guy, right? He plays an instrument, he's an old soul of sorts, which is pretty cool, dark sense of humor, which I know Emma is always going to appreciate."

"Jordi's a bit of a loner, we don't know him very well. So that's something to hold back" she added. "Leo has proved in the past that he can't always be as trustworthy as she would like; he's a little flaky sometimes. I don't know, I guess it's kind of the same with any teenage boy you're going to encounter in day-to-day life."

However, she guarantees that Emma will eventually make her choice.

"This is going to be very interesting-it's all about egos and getting over our egos and how everyone has one," she said. "It doesn't matter who you are or what you're going through."

It's unclear when she will make the decision, though it could be when she gets a very important visitor at the hospital-her father, Jon (played by recurring guest star John Allen Nelson).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Emma's father is described as compassionate and loving, a reserved man who chooses his words carefully and a hopeless case when it comes to saying no to Emma. Jon puts on a strong face but struggles with how to talk to Emma about her disease and winds up tiptoeing around the issue.

Red Band Society airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on FOX.
