The plot synopsis for the action-packed eighth episode of this season of ABC's Once Upon a Time has been released, with the Snow Queen (Elizabeth Mitchell) pitting the two Frozen sisters against each other.

Once Upon a Time Unlikely Duo Teams Up To Find Snow Queen in Next Episode

Episode 4.08 of Once Upon a Time will be a special two hours long and it looks to pack several storylines in, including flashes to Arendelle.

"In Arendelle, when the Snow Queen tries to pit Elsa [Georgina Haig] and Anna [Elizabeth Lail] against each other and it proves more difficult than she anticipates, she takes drastic measures," the synopsis reads.

Regina Finding It Harder 'To Walk Away' From Robin Hood

In Storybrooke, Emma (Jennifer Morrison) finds herself unable to control her magical powers and enlists Mr. Gold/Rumple (Robert Carlyle) for help.

"Gold tells her about a way to get rid of her powers altogether and Hook [Colin O'Donoghue] tries to put a stop to it," the synopsis continues. "Meanwhile, Regina [Lana Parrilla] struggles with her plan to find the author of the storybook until her quest takes an unexpected turn. Robin Hood [Sean Maguire] recruits Will Scarlet [Michael Socha] to assist him on a mission and Mary Margaret [Ginnifer Goodwin] and David [Josh Dallas] search for Emma."

The episode, titled Smash the Mirror, is set to air Sunday, Nov. 16 from 8-10 p.m. This special two-hour episode is a good indicator that ABC is happy with Once Upon a Time's success this season. The network also ordered another episode for the season, extending its fourth season run to 23 episodes.

Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
