The holiday shopping season is fast approaching, and deal-seeking consumers are already planning for their biggest shopping days.

Four Major Sales To Look For On Black Friday

With Black Friday as the official kick-off for the season only one month away, several retailers are already beginning to announce when they plan to open their doors to consumers eager for deals, and are also revealing special savings incentives they plan to give those who shop with them.

While the only officially announced sale start time has been from Macy's, which plans to open at 6 p.m. Thanksgiving Night, several other store sale times and openings have been speculated.

While the companies themselves have not confirmed or denied their rumored opening times, reports from ABC's Cincinnati affiliate WCPO TV have indicated that Best Buy and Wal-Mart will again begin their sales at 6 p.m. Thanksgiving Night, while Kmart stores will now open at 8 a.m.-two hours later than the time they announced last year, which caused a severe backlash for the company.

And while other top retailers like Target and Kohl's have not announced their official sale start times or revealed which items will see drastically reduced prices, the two companies have released small amounts of information about ways shoppers can save extra money.

Kohl's recently unveiled a new rewards program called Yes2You Rewards, which gives customers who enroll in the program one point for every dollar spent in stores, with a prize of a $5 reward for every $100 spent. The program also gives rewards members eight special savings offers every year, special birthday gifts and opportunities to earn bonus points. It is unclear at the moment if the company will give rewards members more points for each dollar they spend during the Black Friday sales event.

Target in the meantime has announced several money-saving offers to consumers for the holiday shopping season. The company has already instituted a a policy of free shipping on all Target.com orders until Dec. 20. They will also extend their price matching policy beginning Nov. 1, and has expanded the deals available on their Cartwheel savings app. From Nov. 2 to Dec 24, Cartwheel users will be able to take 50 percent off of a different toy every day.

The company also plans on launching a Wish List app Oct. 31, where kids will be able to add must-have items to their list, which parents can then share with friends and family. Those who use the app can also save an additional 10 percent on their Wish List on any one day of their choosing before Nov. 26.
