John Mayer has given the impression that he may have had something on his mind during his ex-girlfriend's 30th birthday.

Mayer dated pop star Katy Perry earlier this year where she celebrated her birthday on Saturday. The "No Such Thing" singer took to his Twitter page to post something that came off as a little skeptical that maybe he wanted to say something nice for his ex on her big day.

"My dog's looking at me like there's something we forgot to do today. No bud that's it you're a dog checklist complete," he wrote.

While this thing he may have forgotten about could be related to pretty much anything, a number of Twitter users commented on this post, saying what they really think it is that Mayer could have been referring to.

One user wrote, "greet katy pls :( #HappyBirthdayKatyPerry" while someone else wrote, "you are forgetting to say happy birthday to @katyperry."

A couple other random people reminded Mayer of Perry's anniversary of the day she was born, giving more insight if that really is something he didn't remember to do.

"well, you forgot to say happy birthday to @katyperry," a user said in the comments. Someone else wrote, "don't forget to say happy bday to your prism @katyperry."

There doesn't seem to be any word if Mayer ended up giving some nice comments to his ex as she celebrated turning 30, but there is still suspicion that he needed a reminder if he and Perry still keep in contact.
