On Saturday Oklahoma State University celebrated the country star by dedicating their Homecoming Halftime Show to the Oklahoma native. The OSU Cowboy Marching Band performed two of Underwood's hits in the Boone Pickens stadium, Cowboy Casanova and Before He Cheats (featured below).

The video currently has nearly 18,000 hits on YouTube and managed to get the attention of the singer herself, who posted a "thank you" to the university on Sunday morning.

Take A Look Behind Carrie Underwood's "Something In The Water"

The country star is a lifelong fan of football. This year she performed the theme song Waiting All Day For Sunday Night for NBC's Sunday Night Football for the second year in a row.

In August the San Jose Mercury News announced that Underwood might be in the running to perform at the Super Bowl next year, though the rumor quickly faded following word that the country star is expecting her first child with husband and NHL player Mike Fisher.

Underwood's latest album Greatest Hits: Decade #1 is set to be released Dec. 9, 2014.
