Married country stars Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert met up at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas on Oct. 4, raising over $600,000 for one of the Somethin' Bad singer's favorite causes.

Blake Shelton & Miranda Lambert Are Making Country Music History

"I always have a great time in Vegas, but being able to save dogs along the way was probably the best," declared Lambert in Taste Of Country on Saturday.

In addition to her Nevada performance, the singer held her 7th Annual Cause For The Paws event, which benefits the MuttNation Foundation. While the charity event has taken place in Texas over the last few years, Lambert decided to move it to coincide with her appearance at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, which was Las Vegas' first ever country music festival. While she was initially concerned about making such a major change, the singer ultimately came to appreciate this decision.

"Getting to do what I love and help the cause that's closest to my heart, and to do it in Vegas, it doesn't get any better," she claimed. "With the money raised, I am looking forward to seeing lots of dogs find loving forever homes through adoption."

Cause For The Paws raised $628,148 this month, which came from the auctioning of items donated by MGM resorts, Live Nation, as well those from Lambert and her husband Shelton.

The money will go towards MuttNation's first shelter Redemption Ranch, which will open in Tishomingo, Oklahoma on Nov. 22, 2014.
