With the news that DC will have a giant slate of superhero films on the way, two big names were left out of the listing of standalone movies: Superman and Batman. So when will we be seeing these heroes on their own adventures again?

Could 'Fast & Furious 7' Director James Wan Do A DC Superhero Movie Next?

Movie Pilot took a closer look at the schedule on Sunday and believes that they know when the sequel to Man of Steel and Ben Affleck's first standalone Batman movie could be happening and it will be sandwiched in between some already confirmed movies.

As for Superman, his sequel was expected to be coming next, but instead, the movie became a team-up with him and Batman slated for an early 2016 release. So when will he be fighting solo again? The site speculates that Man of Steel 2 could be on the way in early 2019 in between the Aquaman and Shazam movies.

Who Will Be In The Line-Up For 'Justice League Part 1?'

The other open slot could possibly come in between Justice League: Part 2 and Cyborg, which could be the opening for either Superman or a Batman standalone movie.

It makes sense that DC may hold off on announcing when they will be bringing these heroes to the screen on their own again as they are the two most marketable properties they have right now and can wait a little longer to keep fans hoping, especially if Batman v Superman turns out great.

It will also allow the two actors, Henry Cavill and Affleck, to catch their breath a little as they have been the two biggest names surrounding the film and will be dealing with this team-up movie and Justice League in the coming years.
