In a recent fan interaction, Leigh Whannell, director of Insidious Chapter 3, took on some pretty interesting questions, and some responses hinted at spoilers for the next instalment in the horror franchise.

Fans Will Be "Thrilled" By Insidious 3

During the special Facebook fan interaction, Whannell was bombarded by all kinds of questions, but a few transcended the riff raff and gave us clues about the future of the series.

One fan had come up with a particularly striking inference about the movies, stating that as Chapter 3 was "going back to the beginning" would that mean that Chapter 4 would resolve the cliffhanger for the second movie. For some reason, the fan also suggested that that could mean that Elise (Lin Shaye) might be a ghost in the fourth movie.

Insidious 3 Still Feat. Elise Teases The Further For Next Chapter 

While, Whannell obviously played cautious and stated that it was too early to be talking about the plot of Chapter 4, but he didn't deny that there would be a sequel to Insidious 2, whcih is good news. He also hinted at the fact that Elise would most probably be alive.

"I really don't know if we'll continue from the end of Chapter 2. Too early to predict. I do like Lin Shaye alive though, if that's a hint," he wrote.

The first trailer for the Insidious 3 was unveiled on October 23.

Insidious 3 will hit theaters on April 3, 2015.
