Page Six reported on Monday that DeGeneres and de Rossi didn't show up at a charity fund-raiser for rescued animals after having an "epic" fight before the event.

DeGeneres and de Rossi were supposed to go to the Saving SPOT! Fundraiser in Santa Monica on Sunday. Saving SPOT! is a charity dedicated to rescuing dogs and providing them with caring owners. They were even pictured on the invite as hosts for the event.

Why Talk Show Host Turned Down Hosting 2015 Academy Awards

"Ellen and Portia were supposed to be at the event at 5 p.m., but at 6:30 p.m., the media was still waiting for their arrival," a source told the website. "Reporters were told they were on their way, until the head of the charity informed everyone at the end of the event that they weren't going to make it due to 'logistics.'"

DeGeneres however denies getting into a fight with her wife. "We were happy to lend our names as honorary chairs and the organization was always aware that we would be unable to attend. This is the first time we have seen our images attached to the invite. It was not approved and it is misleading," the couple said in a statement.

The talk show host's lawyer Marty Singer also denied any disagreement between the couple. "The story is a complete lie. My client told the organizer they never agreed nor planned to attend the event. There was no fight that caused them not to attend."
