Chadwick Boseman (Get On Up, Draft Day) was announced on Tuesday as the chief of the Panther Tribe for Marvel's Phase Three production.

"The @Marvel universe is now even larger," tweeted  Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) at Marvel's Phase Three unveiling, posing alongside Boseman. "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome Black Panther..."

The long-awaited film will hit theaters on Nov. 3, 2017, following closely behind the July release of Marvel's third Asgardian adventure, Thor: Ragnarok.

Phase Three will be much longer than the Avengers-centric Phases One and Two. Set to include 10 films, the next leg of Marvel Studios' schedule will open with Captain America: Civil War on May 6, 2016 and will be followed by Doctor Strange on Nov. 4, 2016; Guardians of the Galaxy 2 on May 5, 2017; Thor: Ragnarok on July 28, 2017; Black Panther on Nov. 3, 2017; and untitled project on May, 4, 2018; Captain Marvel on July 6, 2018; and the two part Avengers: Infinity War in May of 2018 and 2019.
