Duck Dynasty star Jep Robertson is back home after suffering a seizure and says he's happy to be alive.

"I thought I was a goner," he told ABC News in his first interview since his hospitalization. "I reached to get my bow and that's kind of the last I remember. I just crumpled to the ground and they said I had a seizure for like five minutes."

Robertson, who suffered a seizure during a deer hunting excursion in Louisiana on Sunday, Oct. 19, said he remembers waking up four days later with no recollection of the incident. However, Robertson explained that in the month leading up to the seizure he was mispronouncing words and didn't understand why. Doctors think he suffered from a mix of Meningitis and Encephalitis, both of which affect the brain.

The reality star also said that he can't wait to go hunting again, but has to wait at least a month. "I'm mad about it, real mad about it," he said with his wife Jessica by his side.

Robertson updated fans on his condition on Oct. 25 with a sense of humor. "Well, I about died this past Sunday...I'm doing much better now. Thanks for all the prayers! #seizuresuck #gladtobealive," he tweeted.

He then shared a photo of Steven Seagal in the hospital scene from the 1990 action film Hard to Kill and one of himself in the same position. "Just like Steven Seagal, I'm hard to kill," he wrote as the caption.
