Gibson spoke to TVLine about the breakup and how David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) will step up for his friends and try to find him a suitable match.

"That's not this week, but yeah, it's coming up. Unfortunately, you know, I was dating the First Lady and she's busy! [Beth's portrayer Bellamy Young stars on ABC's Scandal.] So yeah, it's actually dealt with in a nice way," he said. "Rossi then of course decides that he needs to play matchmaker for me, and we get very few opportunities for lighter moments like that."

TVGuide brought the scoop for fans who were dying to know if Hotch and Beth will make it as a couple, and stick it out for the long haul. According to entertainment website, Young, might not be available to play Beth's part for longer as she is set to reprise her commitment with the ABC drama, Scandal.

The executive producer of the CBS procedural, also dished about the future of this young couple.

"We want to address that long-distance relationship and do it right," Messer told TVGuide. "We're not going to have Bellamy as long as she's the First Lady, so we want to have it make sense for Hotch when he deals with it."

The next Halloween-themed episode, Boxed In, of the season has been directed by Gibson and will feature his kids.

The episode will air on October 29 and 9 pm ET/PT.
