No parent wants to see his or her child suffer.  No parent wants to go behind their child's back to make them upset, but sometimes, it has to be done.  In Amanda Bynes' situation, her loving parents are doing all they can to make sure that their daughter's current out of control behavior will not affect the rest of her life.

Amanda Bynes' Parents Checked Her In to a Mental Facility Without Her Consent

After the young actress was caught on tape shoplifting and accused her dad of physical abuse on Twitter, her parents knew that they had to step in and help their troubled daughter.  On Oct. 14, Rick Bynes and Lynn Organ tricked Amanda into going back to receive mental help at a Pasadena facility, along with Britney Spears' former manager Sam Lufti.

According to reports, the 28-year-old was furious and felt deceived by her parents plan.  The original treatment was only supposed to last two weeks, but her doctors reportedly asked a judge to extend her psychiatric hold for another 30 days because she is still described to be "very ill," by an inside source who spoke to TMZ.

Amanda Bynes Is Back to Her Old, Weird Ways

Though there has been no word on whether or not her parents had a major part in extending her stay, it is evident that they support any method of ensuring that their daughter is mentally stable.  The judge approved and her parents also pleaded for conservatorship in court.  The court documents conclude that she is worth close to $6 Million, but her parents are worried that her extravagant spending (and apparent gift giving to random strangers) will lead her to have no money at all.

The courts granted Amanda's mother Lynn control over her daughter's finances for the time being.

Hopefully, by this time next year, Amanda Bynes will be able to live life on her own two feet.  If her parents have any say about it, she will be a regular almost-30 year old, who is responsible with her mind and her money.  Bynes may be upset now, but in the long run she will thank her parents for going out of their way to help her stand on her own two feet.
