Another familiar face is returning for FX's American Horror Story: Freak Show, further connecting it with Asylum, the show's second season.

Neil Patrick Harris & David Burtka Attending the 'AHS: Freak Show'

Lily Rabe is set to return to American Horror Story as Sister Mary Eunice, her character from Asylum, according to a new report by Entertainment Weekly. Rabe will be appearing in Episode 10 of Freak Show and is reportedly set to film her scenes this weekend.

This marks the second character to appear in more than one season of American Horror Story. Pepper (Naomi Grossman), who first appeared as a patient in Asylum, is currently a performer in the freak show in the current season. Rabe's return as Sister Mary Eunice is connected to Pepper as Episode 10 will explore how Pepper was taken to the Briarcliff asylum where Sister Mary Eunice worked.

'AHS: Freak Show' Fans Not Liking Songs Being in Every Episode

The news of Rabe's appearance in Freak Show is exciting for fans who were disappointed that she did not have her own new character this season. She has made the most of each of her three performances on the show. The first season featured Rabe playing the ghost Nora Montgomery, Asylum featured Sister Mary Eunice and Coven had her playing Misty Day, a witch obsessed with Stevie Nicks.

It is suggested that Sister Mary Eunice will still be innocent when fans see her again in Freak Show. By the end of Asylum the character had become possessed by the devil.

American Horror Story: Freak Show airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
