X17 reported Tuesday that they think its only a matter of time before the couple "bites the dust" and they're just trying to "save face" in front of the media.

This comes after Page Six reported that the married couple got into an "epic" fight before the Saving SPOT! Fundraiser in Santa Monica on Sunday night.

Couple Denies 'Epic' Fight After Not Appearing At Charity Event

DeGeneres and de Rossi denied ever saying they could attend the event, however. "We were happy to lend our names as honorary chairs and the organization was always aware that we would be unable to attend. This is the first time we have seen our images attached to the invite. It was not approved and it is misleading," DeGeneres and de Rossi told E! News Tuesday.

A source also told the website that the couple told the charity two months ago that they couldn't attend the annual event. "They also approved to be co-chairs and approved an early draft of an invite for the event that was later changed."

Despite this, organizers of the charity event were reportedly under the impression that comedian DeGeneres and wife de Rossi would be in attendance and canceled on them at the last minute.
