Michael C. Hall is (literally) taking it off for his starring role in Broadway's Hedwig and the Angry Inch in new photos that show him flaunting his nearly nude torso on stage.

Andrew Rannells Talks About Giving Lap Dances As Hedwig

On Thursday, Broadway World posted snapshots of the Dexter star in his New York performance as the transgender rock star. In these photos, Hall wears basically nothing but tight black shorts, shoes and a decent amount of eye makeup. Considering that the lead character has a moment where she removes her wig and goes on with life as just Hedwig, these photos look like they were taken in the final showdown.

Hall walks on the stage in his shorts where he smiles, hugs his co-stars and stands alongside them. He then points to the audience, clasps his hands together and bows.

Hedwig has become a big deal on Broadway lately with big stars playing the role, including Neil Patrick Harris followed by Andrew Rannells. Hall recently took on the part where all seems to be going smoothly except for one mishap that took place after last Saturday's performance; one of the wigs went missing after Hall took it off and threw it down, and rumor has it that an audience member might have stolen it.

"Normally, the crew gets it immediately after the curtain call," a source told Page Six regarding the incident. But as it turned out, "the wig was nowhere to be found. They suspect an eager fan grabbed it [off the stage] and made off with it."
