Supernatural's Dean Winchester has tamped down his internal demon, but the Winchester brothers will continue to deal with his momentary demonization long after the cure has taken a hold.

Viewers received a glimpse of the hunters' regrets and concerns about the future during "Paper Moon," and Jensen Ackles (Dean) teased the continued ramifications of the Mark of Cain while at ChiCon last weekend.

"Dean...still has the Mark of Cain, so there is an element to Dean that is not cured," Ackles explained. "Yeah, he might not be a "demon" anymore, but there is still part of him that is still very much affected and that's going to play a role in the future. What kind of role and how big of a role were not yet sure."

One thing the actor wishes Supernatural would explore, however, is how dark Sammy (Jared Padalecki) went as he scored the country for his older brother.

"I would really like to see more of what Sam did to find Dean when Dean was a demon and the things - even if its flashbacks - to see to what degree he went in order to find his brother," Ackles said. "I think that if there's a dark side of him that came out in order to do that, then that would be fun to explore, or at least be fun to have haunt them now in his current state."
