It's been almost two months since country superstar Carrie Underwood announced that she and husband Mike Fisher are expecting their first child, but in this short time the singer has provided fans with a number of memorable moments.

In true Underwood fashion, the Something in The Water singer first shared her baby news through an adorable photo. On Sept. 1 the star posted a joke about labor. She accompanied the Twitter statement with a picture of her and her two small dogs. Little Ace and Penny were wearing "I'm Going To Be A Big Brother" and "I'm going To Be a Big Sister" shirts.

The announcement revived 33,846 retweets and was favorites 65,870 times.

The Breakdown

Underwood was deemed rather fashionable when she attended the 8th Annual ACM Honors on Sept. 9 to receive a special achievement award, though the singer's acceptance speech didn't quite go as planned. According to E! broke down shortly after she began speaking. "I was getting misty-eyed sitting in the audience," explained a tearful Underwood when she finally took the stage. "I had all kinds of stuff to say and you guys it's all gone. I am so honored and so thankful and so blessed." Later that evening Underwood made a statement on Instagram which showed her in good spirits, laughing at her own sentimentality.
