With the 48th Annual CMA Awards approaching on Wednesday, there is a lot of speculation moving around as to who will take home the top honors.

Twitter Might Be Hurting Blake Shelton & Miranda Lambert

While each category is packed with fierce competition, Taste of Country released a list of predictions on Thursday which has Miranda Lambert coming out on top.

Lambert is predicted to win three of her top nominations, including Female Vocalist of the Year, Singer of the Year for Automatic, and the highly coveted Entertainer of the Year. This means the singer would be beating out husband Blake Shelton, superstar Taylor Swift, and her own Somethin' Bad duet partner Carrie Underwood.

Miranda Lambert Goes Platinum

Lambert received a total of nine nominations for the CMA Awards this year, while Shelton scored three. Both released new albums this year. Shelton's Bringing Back the Sunshine hit stores last month to much success and Lambert hit a whole new level of acclaim when she released Platinum in June. The album featured her hit single Automatic and her popular Underwood duet Somethin' Bad.

If the predictions are right and Lambert does win, chances are she won't be bragging.

In an interview with People on Sept. 4, Shelton revealed that his wife can sound a little "embarrassed" when it comes to award season. "If it was anybody else, she probably wouldn't even talk about it," he revealed, "But with men she's pretty excited."

The 48th Annual CMA Awards will air live on ABC Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m.
