Keith Urban is up for Entertainer of the Year at the CMA Awards next month, but for wife and actress Nicole Kidman he's already the husband of a lifetime.

How Keith Urban Helped One Country Singer Achieve Sobriety

"[It happened] in a huge way," revealed Kidman during an interview with Today on Wednesday. She'd never imagined the happiness she'd find with her husband and children, but the actress is thankful for every moment of it. "And I love saying that, because I think for anyone that's in pain now or hurting, it's always good to hear other stories of people that go, 'It's going to be OK.'"

Kidman certainly knows what it's like to hurt, having suffered the loss of her father, Dr. Antony Kidman, only a month ago after he died of a heart attack.

Nicole Kidman Opens Up About Marriage

"It was a devastating thing for my family and myself right now," she admitted, explaining that Urban has been a big part in helping her through it.

"I'm lucky to have a rock of a husband and strong faith," she admitted. "I have both those things."

Nicole had been very close with her father and one of the things she is able to take comfort in is how much her husband reminds her of the man she's adored her whole life. She revealed that Urban reminds her of her late father by "being a good man and choosing to protect his family and take care of himself and his kid."

"And walk the walk, if that makes sense," she added, "Not just talk the talk."

The couple, who have been married for a number of years, have two young daughters together, six-year-old Sunday Rose and three-year-old Faith Margaret.
