On October 31, House of Cards helmer, Beau Wilimon, wished fans a happy halloween from the set of House of Cards by posting pictures of the crew all decked out in costume.

Season 3 Of House of Cards To Focus On Foreign Affairs?

Most everybody else in the frame is wearing an alternate identity, Willimon is seen in his regular wear. "This is how we do it at @HouseofCards," he tweeted. Interestingly, though, none of the crew is dressed as a House of Cards character.

In a recent interview, Wiilimon spoke about his inspirations behind the power couple of Frank (Kevin Spacey) and Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) that form the cynosure of the Netflix series.

Season 3 Of House of Cards To Release in February Next Year?

The writer was part of a discussion conducted by PBS on September 30 which focussed on the new PBS documentary, The Roosevelts, and also sought to draw parallels between it and House of Cards, specifically engaging the struggles for power in both cases.

During the course of the discussion, a question was posed to Willimon about if the Underwood's were in anyway postured after or drew from the dynamics of political power couples like Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt or even the Clintons.

Willimon stated that the Roosevelts were definitely not used "as a template" and that they "were looking at so many different people."

He went onto reiterate that they were not only looking at political couples, but at "all sorts of different unions, and not all of them marriages."

"There's a kind of mojo to that marriage which I don't try to overanalyse," he added. "I am always discovering new things about it, and its rules and dynamics are its own, and so I feel that it's naturally leading to where it needs to go."

The third season of House of Cards is currently filming in Maryland, where the first and second seasons were also shot. Initially, the continuation of filming of the third season of the Netflix series was fraught with troubles over the past few weeks as the producers weren't getting permission from the State of Maryland. But the issue was finally resolved on April 25.
