American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy has revealed what many people have been speculating for years - the show's separate seasons are indeed interconnected.

Matt Bomer Appearing In 'Horrible & Dastardly' Scene on 'American Horror Story: Freak Show'

Murphy spoke with Entertainment Weekly this week about the latest episode of American Horror Story: Freak Show and revealed a very big detail of the overarching series. Each season, Murder House, Asylum, Coven and Freak Show, are apparently connected with each other and future seasons will be as well.

"They're all connected. We're just beginning to tell you how they're connected," Murphy revealed. "They're all very separate but there's clues every season that we're now telling you how the different worlds are intertwined."

Actress Who Plays Pepper on 'AHS: Freak Show' Admits Men 'Don't Care' That She Is Bald

The more overt crossover thus far has been the inclusion of Pepper (Naomi Grossman) in Freak Show, the microcephalic "pinhead" who previously appeared as a mental patient in Asylum. After all the freak shows shut down in the '50s, the performers were taken to asylums, which is one of the storylines that will be covered later in the season.

It is at this point that the second repeat character will appear. Lily Rabe is set to reprise her Asylum role as Sister Mary Eunice in Episode 10 of Freak Show. Sister Mary Eunice will help facilitate Pepper's admission into Briarcliff, the Massachusetts asylum.

Murphy noted that Freak Show being connected to Asylum is the first step, and suggested that it will soon be revealed how the current season is connected to Murder House.

American Horror Story: Freak Show airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
