Carrie Underwood is practically an old pro when it comes to hosting the CMA Awards with fellow country artist Brad Paisley and even with all the pressure the Something In The Water singer knows how to stay calm.

"There's a little less nerves about it," admitted Underwood when she talked about hosting for the seventh year in a row with  CMT during rehearsal on Monday. "And we can get down to business and really figure out what works ad what doesn't."

"It's always exciting," added the singer. "And that's the cool thing about it. Every year is different, and we have new things to talk about and new artists and songs and events that are happening."

Pregnancy Could mean No New Music for Carrie Underwood in 2015

This year is especially different for Underwood herself, who will be hosting the show while pregnant for the first time. Back in September the star announced that she and husband Mike Fisher, who plays in the NHL for the Nashville Predators, are expecting their first child together.

As a result, the CMA Awards are bound to include a few baby jokes, as well as some alterations when it comes to Underwood's costume changes. In previous years the singer changed half a dozen times throughout the evening, but being pregnant might limit the number of ensembles, or at least change the nature of them.

On Monday People looked back at what Underwood has worn to the award show over the last seven years, and there are a few styles that won't likely be making a comeback this Wednesday.

The Teem Acra white and gold gown from 2012 is certainly out, with its plunging neckline down to the singer's waste. The high-waisted tightly-belted blue Tsemaye Binitie from that same year is also a no when it comes to dressing a pregnant lady.

Something in the vein of Underwood's loose-fitting 2009 short, beaded dress is a possibility, as is an outfit similar to the long red gown she wore during her first year in 2005.

Pregnant or not, Underwood is thrilled to be hosting the show this year. "It always makes for good times at award shows when you're the one driving the bus…" she told CMT. "It's always exciting."

The 48th Annual CMA Awards air live on ABC Wednesday at 8 p.m.
