Is ABC Family's latest drama Chasing Life going to be back for a second season?

April's Grandparents To Bring Trouble In The 'Chasing Life' Christmas Special?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the answer is yes!

The site pointed out on Thursday that an exact amount of episodes have yet to be announced, but there's a good chance it'll be around 21 episodes since that's how many the first season contained, including the upcoming Christmas special.

The series reportedly ranked as cable's top performer in adults from 18-34, women 18-34 along with a total amount of viewers from 12-34 and women 12-34 in the time period.

A release date has yet to be announced, but the second season will likely premiere in summer 2015.

Since there will be a second season, this leaves some questions on how long Leo will stick around for since it's still being speculated if he'll live or die. Scott Michael Foster, who plays Leo, recently told YA Magazine that he's had to have a certain feel for his character since he might not live for that long.

"It's not necessarily hard for me to play a character with an illness like that, but kind of like I said before, you definitely want to stay sensitive to the topic, which is, honestly, that you might die young," Foster said.

It could be too soon to let go of Leo's character so soon, but fans might want to prepare for this just to be safe.
