For some reason, the director of a big budget Marvel movie doesn't really appreciate having the process called "torture" by one of the actors and decided to make a quick response to it. But does he call out Idris Elba big time?

'Thor' Actor Calls Working On A Marvel Movie 'Torture' As He Recounts Experience On Set

In a recent interview with Vulture on Tuesday, Joss Whedon talked about the recent comments made by Idris Elba about the process of working on Thor 2 and Avengers: Age of Ultron, the latter being a filmed directed by Whedon.

"Um, should he receive an email from me, there might be an attitude of scold," he said. "When you have a cast of 19,000 people, inevitably, once every month, you pick up [a story] and you're like, 'awww' [about spoilers]."

Loki Could Be Important In Future Marvel Movies & Here's How

It seems like the director wasn't entirely happy with Elba letting out that there was a scene with him, Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth in the movie because it probably deals directly with a tie-in to Thor 3 and spoils the whole reveal.

But on the other hand, like he said, what can you do when you have a giant cast and people like Elba are constantly fielding questions and being interviewed for things? Marvel is a large company and probably isn't happy with the comments, but there is only so much you can do.

This isn't the first time that the studio has gotten mad and re-cast actors for speaking out against the movies they were in so one has to wonder if Elba makes the trip again for Thor 3 or if they decide to go another direction if it is so torturous.
