Is he playing with us again or are the most recent pictures on this actor's Facebook page a hint at an additional hero joining the Avengers soon?

What Sony Needs To Do To Bring Interest Back To 'Spider-Man' Series

Robert Downey Jr., or Iron Man, took to his Facebook page last week to post a photo of different spots in New York City that were included during the Marvel film, The Avengers, except for one: a picture of Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man.

While it could be just the actor going to famous superhero spots, there is some merit to one of the biggest names in Marvel's arsenal posting a photo of the web-slinger in the midst of the other Avengers after rumors circulated last month that said Marvel and Sony were talking about giving the studio back Spider-Man.

That rumor, on top of the news that Marvel would be bringing the Civil War plot to the big screen, says that maybe there is some truth that Marvel is looking to bring back one of their biggest heroes to the studio.

While they wouldn't necessarily need him since their movies have outperformed all of the recent Spider-Man movies, it still would be something that fans want to see as the last two movies have been less than stellar and had fans calling for the hero to be sent to join the MCU and fix the franchise.

Who knows if Downey Jr. has any pull within the studio, but with him being the chief actor in discussions for Civil War, he could've heard something and is now messing with fans to say that Spider-Man could be on the way.

As of now, Sony is getting ready for the Sinister Six, which could be their last attempt with the franchise.
