Usain Bolt ran Round 1 Heats for the Men's 200-Meter Race at the 2012 Olympics and placed first with 20.39 seconds. However, Yohan Blake, who ran in the fourth heat, finished first in 20.38 seconds. Other semi-finalist who ran during different heat rounds times faster than the famous runner.

While Bolt lost to Blake, in the 200M race during the Olympic trials, Bolt assured Blake he would not lose again.

"I've told Yohan Blake that 200 meters will be different, because that's my signature event," Bolt told reporters. "I'm not going to let him beat me again. I've said that to him already."

Usain Bolt came in first at the 2012 Olympics 200M heats for his round. Aldemir da Silva Junior of Brazil came in second place with 20.53 seconds. US runner, Isiah Young, came in third with 20.55 seconds.

Bolt holds a world record of 19.19 seconds (set in Berlin 2009) and an Olympic record of 19.30 seconds (set in Beijing 2008) in the 200M race.

Bolt says he cannot consider himself the greatest runner of all-time until he wins the 200-Meter final on August 9.

"I can't say that. I think I have to wait until the 200m and then my fans have got to say 'yes he is.' So I'm never going to say I'm the greatest until after my 200m," Bolt said according to China Daily.

One of the most awaited races on the London 2012 Track and Field schedule was the Men's 100-Meter Dash. Favorites in the this Olympic event included Jamaica's Bolt, Blake, and Asafa Powell. Other runners predicted to look out for were Tyson Gay and Justin Gatlin of the United States.

Usain Bolt qualified for the Men's 100M Dash semi-finals with a run of 10.09 seconds. The star Olympian finished the 100-Meter sprint final on Sunday with a time of 9.63 seconds to take gold in the most emphatic way, to trash anyone thought that he was no longer the fastest man on the planet.

The Jamaican powered his way away from the pack to retain his Olympic crown and set an new Olympic record time.

Blake came in 9.75 seconds in the race, taking silver. Gatlin of the US, finished in 9.79 seconds, securing the bronze medal.

Bolt becomes only the second man to ever retain the 100 meter sprint Olympic championship, with Carl Lewis being the only man to ever have done that before. There may be more history made by this man before the week is out at London 2012.
