Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida have been through a lot. Within the past few months especially, their lives and the lives of their two young children (Dylan and Ayden) have been turned upside down because of Nida's arrest for bank fraud. During the season seven premiere, the producers showed the final straw of Apollo and Phaedra's crumbling marriage. In order to stay out of the media, Phaedra decided not to support her husband during his day in court.

On the show, he broke down into tears when he realized that besides his brother, his immediate family had "abandoned" him, causing many people to lash out against Parks on social media for not honoring her "for better or worse" marriage vows. Now, the Southern Belle herself spoke out about the situation on her BravoTv blog.

"I've been criticized for not being at Apollo's hearing, but the truth is I had been there for him in so many ways for such a long time. By the time all of this went down, it was apparent the marriage was over," said Parks. "My focus needed to be exclusively on the wellbeing of our children. I don't think there's a parent out there who wouldn't agree."

In the post, she also went on to emphasize that a few housewives, especially Porsha Williams and Nene Leakes, have been extremely supportive throughout the entire ordeal. While others, she added, "Decided to use my personal crisis as an opportunity to further their own interests and talk to the media to get press for themselves."

Still, she only wants the best for her children. Apollo is currently serving an eight year sentence and Parks is determined to make sure that she and her boys live the best life they can.
