As more details of Jurassic World emerge, with the recently leaked images of the new dinosaur breed, purportedly the Diabolous-Rex hitting the internet, a question that needs answering is what will set it apart from the rest of the dinosaurs and what special power will make it a reckonable  threat in the park.

Jurassic World Stills And On Set Photos Unveiled So Far

It is known that the dinosaur is formed of a mutation, as director Colin Trevorrow previously revealed.

"We were hoping audiences could discover this on their own, but yes, there will be one new dinosaur created by the park's geneticists. The gaps in her sequence were filled with DNA from other species, much like the genome in the first film was completed with frog DNA," he said in an interview. "This creation exists to fulfill a corporate mandate-they want something bigger, louder, with more teeth. And that's what they get."

Other Dinosaurs To Combat The Diabolous Rex In Jurassic World?

Initial rumors suggested that the dinosaur will be a hybrid of a snake, cuttlefish and T-Rex, but Trevorrow seemed to dismissed that. As another new aspect of Jurassic World will be the aquatic dinosaurs, and details from the leaked trailer reveal that white sharks also figure in the movie, could it be that the gaps in the will be filled by an aquatic species, giving the new breed the ability to hide and exist under water?

Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, Irrfan Khan and Ty Simpkins.

The Jurassic Park films are based on Michael Crichton's series of novels about pre-historic beasts being revived by revolutionary gene technology. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are co-producing the film alongside Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two installments in the franchise.

The film will hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
