White Collar is currently in the midst of airing its final season, which leaves bittersweet feelings so we decided to name the top five episodes to ever air from the series.

Peter Transitions From Father Figure To Father On 'White Collar'

The series began airing in Oct. 2009 and will end in several weeks on Dec. 18 with a total of 81 episodes. Of those 81 episodes we have selected our top 5, with good reason of course.

1. Pilot - Season 1, Episode 1

This episode has to be on the list since it's what roped us into loving Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer), Agent Peter Burke (Tim DeKay) and Mozzie (Willie Garson). The dynamic between Neal and Burke has been steadily building and morphing since this very first episode of White Collar.

What Is Neal After On 'White Collar'?

2. Upper West Side Story - Season 3, Episode 12 (Episode 42 in the series)

Neal posed as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school in this episode to help Peter and the FBI discover where the scholarship funds are disappearing. This episode featured plenty of themes from William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet along with allusions to Shakespearean literature, which paired well with Neal's humor. Plus, it put Neal and Peter back on track after a rough patch in their relationship.

3. Vital Signs - Season 1, Episode 10

The breakfast scene between Neal, Peter and Peter's wife Elizabeth is everything. You can watch it at the end of the article.

4. Gloves Off - Season 4, Episode 9 (Episode 55 in the series)

Neal and Peter get to fight it out in a boxing ring. What more could you ask for, especially since the pair was struggling yet again with the dynamic of their "convicted felon/federal agent" relationship?

5. Borrowed Time - Season 6, Episode 1 (Episode 76 in the series)

This episode needs to be on our list since it raised valuable information such as Elizabeth telling Peter she's pregnant. This plants the seed of Peter transitioning from father figure of Neal to actual father. It brings things full circle.

Which episodes that have aired already make your top 5?

Tune in tonight on USA to catch the next episode, "Return to Sender," at 9 p.m. ET.
