Miranda Lambert dominated at the 48th Annual CMA Awards last week, but on Thursday her husband and fellow artist Blake Shelton earned a top honor all his own.

Blake Shelton Starts Telling Miranda Lambert 'No' More

The Neon Light singer is officially amoung the inductees for the Oklahoma Hall of Fame this year alongside Wanda Jackson (singer), Afre Woodard (actress), Harold T. Holden (painter), Neal McCauley (politician), Thomas H. McCasland (engineer) and Peggy Clark Stephens (research).

Shelton joked around on Twitter a bit about how desperate they must be if they are inducting him, but when all was said and done the country music star considered it an honor to have been chosen.

"The Oklahoma Hall of Fame strives to honor the best and brightest Oklahomans in industries across the spectrum," declared Shelley Rowan in News Ok on Thursday. Rowan, who is the Oklahoma Heritage Association's director of marketing, then added "All of our inductees excel in their respective careers," she noted.

Lambert attended the event as a presenter, though she wasn't there for her husband. The singer presented for Jackson at the event, though she was able to watch her husband receive the honor.

Shelton celebrated the release of his latest album Bringing Back The Sunshine in September.
