American Horror Story star Angela Bassett has not confirmed whether she is going to return for Season 5 of the horror anthology series, but a new quote from the legendary actress suggests that she's not going anywhere.

Since debuting as voodoo queen Marie Laveau in Coven, Bassett has made her mark on American Horror Story. Currently playing three-breasted hermaphrodite Desiree, the actress is having a great time in Freak Show.

While she was not directly asked if she would be returning for Season 5 in a recent conference call, she did admit how thrilling it is to come back each year.

"Everyone is just an ultimate professional. We all have an appreciation for this crazy world and the things that we're asked to do," she said. "It stretches us and grows us. The fact that we get to come back year after year and they fashion some completely new insanity for us to play out is a plus. It's thrilling."

With the show's star Jessica Lange set to leave American Horror Story after Freak Show, the series needs someone of similar caliber to take on a leading role. Bassett certainly has the qualifications to do so, as does her fellow legendary costar Kathy Bates.

It remains to be seen who will return for Season 5 as nobody has made any announcement one way or the other other than Lange.
