Disney cartoons are meant to be positive and happy flicks, but sometimes the messages are just wrong.

See eight horrible lessons Disney movies taught us below.

The Little Mermaid:

Ariel's love for Prince Eric was so strong that she was willing to betray her father's wishes to be with him. The problem - they never even spoke.

Sleeping Beauty:

When a man walks into a room and sees a girl knocked out, it's apparently okay to kiss her.

Aladdin:

Usually we are taught to be ourselves and hope the person likes us for who we are. Not in this case. Aladdin pretended to be a rich prince to win the heart of Jasmine. And he was able to.

Alice in Wonderland:

This popular film taught us it's okay to drink mysterious drinks without having any clue what they are.

Peter Pan:

When a stranger breaks into your house, it's pretty much okay to befriend him. He may even take you on a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Cinderella:

Try and be someone you're not because it seems that's the only way you'll find love.

Princess and the Frog:

The only thing that matters is finding your significant other. And you might even have to kiss a frog to find him or her.

Beauty and the Beast:

He holds you hostage and treats you like dirt, but hey, he might really be a good guy underneath it all. Give him a shot.
