Thor is getting ready for the massive destruction of his homeward, but could he gain the assistance of the Guardians of the Galaxy for this conquest? Unlikely, but don't rule out the characters interacting at some point.

Thor To Have No Home After Next Movie As Asgard Will Be In Ruins?

With the Guardians of the Galaxy movie expanding Marvel's space universe after the first two Thor movies, it now sets the stage for a possible meet-up between the two properties. But is that possible and would they want to do it?

It doesn't seem like it'll happen right now as the second Guardians movie comes out before the third Thor movie, which is likely when the hero will be returning to Asgard for Ragnarok and the destruction of his home. This means that a meeting following the second Avengers movie is unlikely, especially after comments made by James Gunn puts his franchise outside of the other Marvel films.

Thor Will Die In The Third Movie, But He Won't Be Lost Forever

But does that completely rule out the possibility? Most likely not. As the third Avengers movie will most likely be a massive team-up of all the characters featured so far in the three phases of Marvel's movie universe, it could also mean that there is a meeting in space between Thor and the Guardians, which could lead to them helping the Avengers fight Thanos.

After Thor 3, the hero will most likely be left without a home and wandering, which could lead him to come in contact with the Guardians wherever they are in space. This could happen during the third Avengers and give the team a tie with these space heroes.

It sure hasn't been the first time these two properties have crossed over.
