Wild N Out host Nick Cannon has given an update on his back tattoo that used to be of Mariah Carey's name.

Nick Cannon Says He's 'Trying To Slow It Down'

The tattoo that splurged the name "Mariah" is now a giant art piece of Jesus Christ. Cannon appeared at the 2014 Halo Awards where he was asked how he came up with the idea for his new ink in a video posted on Tuesday. As it turns out, he ended up saying something that sounded pretty connected to the split from his wife.

"It's almost finished, but it's a lot going on, on my back," the host said. "Obviously, I was like, 'you got to put something on there that you would never ever regret."

It seems like Cannon's tattoo replacement was someone that he feels like will truly stay with him forever.

"I thought this one out all the way," he said. "I put Jesus on my back and me and Jesus ain't never gonna break up."

Cannon has been pretty open about the split with Carey, including an interview with Wonderwall where he said that his primary focus is on his children.

"I'm trying to slow it down and stay focused," he revealed. "Family is the first thing and my kids, obviously the dating thing will come down the line."

It sounds like the host doesn't have any time right now to think about dating since he has other things on his mind, including work.

"I think I'm busier than I've ever been in my entire life," he said. "I love it. You gotta keep cooking while the fire is hot."
